IBuckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday 20 February, canceled videoconference engagements scheduled for Tuesday, for those still suffering from “mild cold-like symptoms”. The 95-year-old ruler, “still exhibiting mild cold-like symptoms, has decided not to hold the online engagement scheduled for today, but will continue with mild duties”, the palace said.
Elizabeth II, who passed the 70-year rule milestone on February 6, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. She was met on February 8 by her son Prince Charles, who tested positive two days later. The palace said it would be decided whether the emperor would attend his scheduled events in the coming days. According to British media, the Queen, who will turn 96 in April, has been triple vaccinated, as her son and his wife Camilla have also tested positive.
