Three people have been arrested after shooting a man in his thirties in the village of Cambridgeshire in Soham.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 5:45 a.m. Saturday.
Three people, aged 9, 36 and 22, all residents of Soham – have been arrested on charges of attempted murder.
They are being kept in the custody of Parkside police station.
The victim is in hospital with serious injuries.
The shooting took place in Eye Hill Draw, which was closed during the investigation
The photo showed several police vehicles and personnel at the scene as well as a cordon.
According to Cambridgeshirelive, initial reports said armed police were seen outside a nearby Fountain Inn pub.
A helicopter was also seen overhead.
Chief Superintendent Mark Greenhall said: “A team of detectives was working all day after the shooting and there is still a significant police presence in the village and it is still going on.
“We consider this an isolated incident and we believe that those involved were familiar with each other.”
