Many people might think that Gabrielle has an actual dance background, but nothing could be further from the truth. “I have never danced and am really just sitting on the baton twirling. From there I was taught a little bit of dance, but I never took dance lessons.

When the lockout began in March last year, Gabrielle decided to create a Ticketock account. “I wanted to stay fit and maybe make friends on the platform,” Gabrielle says. And so he started uploading dance videos.

But it did not stop with the ‘normal’ dance video. “One evening I came to the tune of RTL News. I didn’t know what to do with that sound so I saved it. A moment later I thought: Wait a minute, I can use that tune to dance. “This is a good move, because within a week Gabrielle gained thousands of followers.”

Gabrielle has since followed dozens of dances to famous TV tunes. “I listen to the tune, then I think about which movements fit it and I combine it with some street dance,” Gabrielle says. “I spend about an hour preparing and recording it. Although I do this sometimes, because I am quite a perfectionist. ”

Gabrielle’s Tiktok is now seen by thousands. “I have only seen good reactions. People find it fun and fun. There is also a backlash in comments by people suggesting for TV tunes where Gabriel could possibly perform a dance.
