Scandal comes out
Fillon was prime minister of President Nicolas Sarkozy between 2007 and 2012.
He denied the allegations, saying that at that time he was working as his wife’s assistant for 15 years and took on various roles, including managing his program and representing him at cultural events. He also said that his daughter and son worked in similar positions for 15 months and six months, respectively, this was not illegal, but a “judicial error.”
