Championship – Next home match of Toulouse Olympics postponed – Rugby league

After his return to London a few weeks ago, the RFL announced the postponement of the match between Toulouse Olympics and Feadstone.

Since health measures in the UK have been enhanced and the Rovers Squad are not fully professional, Feathertson cannot travel to Toulouse on 1 May. We can read on the club press release:

Determined at Ernest Wallen on Saturday 1 May, the Toulouse Olympics v Featherstone Rovers match has been officially postponed to a later date due to currently implemented health measures in Great Britain.

As expected several weeks ago, Britain’s quarantine rules, particularly those forcing people living in France to self-segregate for at least 5 days, apply until 16 May.

Although, Featherstone does not trust 100% of the professional staff, the team will be impressed when they return to England. The English Federation (Rugby Football League) forces itself to postpone this meeting for the 4th day of the championship (the date to be defined according to the calendar).

After London, therefore, the Olympians will still have to wait to play their first match of the season on the lawn of Ernest Wallen.
