I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! Viewers have been reluctant to look at statistics since the latest series launched two weeks ago – more than 6 million tunings were off at the time of the first eviction.
The long-running reality celebrity popularity contest is now in its 20th season – launching the first series of films in the UK on 15 November from Guerrich Castle in Wales.
The show was launched with a record-breaking 14.3 million viewers to see stars including Vernon K, Sir Mo Farah and Victoria Derbyshire, entering the so-called haunted castle – the highest number of views on a launch show in the history of the IAA celeb.
However, the Mail on Sunday claimed that the rating dropped to 2.1 million in less than two weeks, reaching 61.1 million viewers when Paralympian Holly Arnold was the first to be dropped from the 2020 series on Friday night.
The number of viewers of statistics has dropped amid allegations that reporters are being “too pretty”.
Speaking to The Mail Shop on Sunday, Pierce told Morgan: “I’m here for the whole #IceligityGroup. They’re telling everyone how special they are as a special group … but anyone can please start with a complete T ** *? ”
Sources in the ITV on Sunday also reported that the series would be “soft and beautiful” this year in light of the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.
The source claimed that the authorities are alerting members who are under pressure due to the people’s conflict that most of the UK is locked up.
Meanwhile, a source at ITV has denied that there is a rating crisis in the current series – noting that in 2012 the series protected 1.2 million additional viewers compared to the same point.
A spokesman added: “It is clear that this year I am a hugely popular celebrity audience.”
The current series is being filmed in Wales after the coronavirus epidemic was filmed in the endangered Australian jungle.
There has been some controversy over the latest series – wildlife experts have complained to police that the show could accidentally free non-native insects in Welsh countryside.
I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! Continues on ITV tonight at 8 p.m.
