WH advisor announces ‘anger’ over cops not charged with Chauvin

White House’s national security adviser said on Sunday that three Minneapolis police officers who were involved in the detention of George Floyd in the moments before his death were not charged with Derek Chauvin.

“This is an absolute temper. And I want to know where the investigation with these officers goes. What were they thinking? I mean, just like people, he leaves aside the first response and police officer, ”Robert O’Brien “This Week,” said ABC News.

“I can’t imagine they won’t be charged. I don’t want to be biased, but what we saw was terrible, and we stood next to it and let it happen … and it just shows the lack of humanity. ”

In the video footage, Chauvin, who pressed the knee for about nine minutes last Monday, was charged on Friday by county prosecutors in Minnesota on charges of third-degree murder and second-degree murder.

Like Chauvin, three officers who helped Floyd arrest were fired.

But the trio – Tou Thau, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane – were not charged with the death of unarmed and handcuffed Floyd during the encounter: “I can’t breathe.”

O’Brien questioned how Chauvin, who made 15 criminal complaints to the department for 19 years, was even in the police force of Chauvin, which caused two condemnations.

“I mean why this man is still in the power of the police – he was said to have a long record of bad behavior,” he said.

O’Brien said that cops like Chauvin should “take root”.

“And there are a few bad apples out there – whether they’re racist or poorly trained, or if they’re just barren, law enforcement agencies need to take root, because 99.9 percent of our law enforcement officers are doing great work to protect heroes and the American people,” he said.
