Protesters increase the risk of getting coronavirus: officials

Authorities, protesters flooding the streets in America are putting themselves at risk of catching the coronavirus – and possibly exacerbating its continued spread.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms warned those who went to the city streets, “If you were out for protest last night, you probably need to have a COVID test this week.”

The bottoms were one of many who noted the dangers of thousands of people suddenly ignoring any locking or social distance to protest the death of George Floyd in the camera where he was detained by the police.

“There is still an epidemic in America that kills black and brown people more,” he said.

Healthcare professionals fear that silent carriers of the virus with no symptoms can infect others without realizing it in protests that people are full of cheeks to wrap their cheeks without their masks.

Even those who are masked are not guaranteed protection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say that cloth masks are more than just protecting the wearer to stop infected people who spread the virus.

Bradley Pollock, Head of the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of California, warned, “Whether fired or fired, does not prevent infection.”

The protests will almost certainly fuel the infections and hurt efforts to involve the pandemic through deadlocks and tightly organized social distancing, the Minnesota health commissioner said.

“We have two crises stuck on each other,” said Jacob Frey, mayor of Minneapolis, where Floyd died during the Memorial Day arrest.

According to Johns Hopkins University, ongoing protests in the US came because of seeing more than 1.7 million confirmed cases of coronavirus with 103,781 deaths.
