This Morning’s Alice Beer apologises after Holly and Phil notice awkward blunder

Alice Beer apologised today after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield pointed out a blunder she made on This Morning.

The consumer expert, 55, appeared on the ITV programme today from her home in Wiltshire as she spoke about the announcement about a freeze in stamp duty for houses under £500,000.

Speaking outside a property, Alice informed viewers about savings that could be made for those looking to buy a house.

But she was left cringing after making a slip-up as she spoke about the VAT reduction involved in the hospitality industry.

Explaining how much an average dinner of £45 would cost, she said it would amount to £45,000.

The comment left Holly and Phil and Phil stunned as they yelped: “Where did you go?!”

Alice instantly recognised her error and she joked: “That was a Nando’s!”

It wasn’t a good day for Alice as she also accidentally slammed a door in the cameraman’s face.

As she ventured into a property, she forgot to hold the door open for the cameraman.

Realising that he had been locked out, she ran back and exclaimed: “Sorry Andy, I shut the door on you!”
