Watford host Norwich City in a must-win match as they bid to avoid relegation back to the Championship.

While the Canaries, too, will know victory here is essential to keep alive any faint hopes of remaining in the Premier League. Gerard Deulofeu and Andre Gray scored at Carrow Road back in November to hand the Hornets a 2-0 win, despite Christian Kabasele’s red card with 25 minutes remaining, though the Spaniard is likely out for the remainder of the season – a crushing blow for Nigel Pearson’s side who are looking to snap a three-game losing streak here.

Follow all the updates and reaction from Vicarage Road below.

74 min: Cleverley’s free kick is blocked but comes out to Masina, who sends a shot over the bar with his weaker foot.

73 min: Sarr is caught by Vrancic and howls in pain. Another free kick for Watford, and more defending to do for the visitors.

71 min: Vrancic sends a searching, overly ambitious ball in the direction of Pukki, but overcooks it and watches as it races behind for a goal kick.

68 min: More nice, intricate build-up play from Norwich, with Buendia at the centre of it. Watford quickly snuff out the danger, though. It’s more style than substance from the visitors. Time for another drinks break.

66 min: Cleverley sends the set piece in the direction of the newly prolific Dawson, who’s beaten to it this time. The ball is eventually played back into the middle by Watford, though, and Cleverley hits a shot straight at Krul.

65 min: A frustrated Lewis barges into Sarr and concedes a free kick, which Watford will no doubt send into the box. Sarr has had a decent game tonight, even if his end product hasn’t always been there.

61 min: A couple of scares for Watford, first as Hernandez sends a ball across the face of goal, then when Pukki goes over in the box under a challenge from Kabasele, who just about gets to the ball before taking the man.

SUBS

59 min: Tom Cleverley is on, in place of Will Hughes.

58 min: Norwich look for an instant response. Vrancic has a shot blocked but the ball comes back to him and he plays a pass into the feet of Pukki. He can’t control, and Watford hack clear. From the corner that follows, Klose finds some space but he too sees his effort blocked.

SUBS

55 min: McLean replaces Tettey for the visitors.

54 min: Chance! Really nicely worked from Norwich. Vrancic starts it off, picking out Stiepermann, who in turn finds Lewis on the left. His first time ball across is met by Hernandez, whose shot is well blocked. The ball then comes out to Aarons, and his powerful effort is parried away by Foster.

51 min: The second half has started at a fairly low tempo. It has the feel of a key game in the group stages of a World Cup. Neither side seems willing to brave a more attacking approach and risk conceding.

49 min: Welbeck does well to drive inside from the left and draw a foul from Tettey, who needs to be careful on a booking. Hughes’ free kick is headed away by Klose.

47 min: Watford immediately surrender possession and step off the visitors. Lewis gets forward on the left and crosses for Pukki, who glances a header wide from a fair way out.

KICK OFF

Watford get us back underway. A draw suits nobody here, so at some point both teams will need to risk defeat and push players forward. The onus will be on the home side.

Elsewhere, Chelsea are 2-1 up against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Blues raced into the lead, but a Wilfried Zaha screamer has given Roy Hodgson’s side hope of a comeback.
