Crunchyroll has announced the winners of its sixth annual Anime Awards for 2021. Attack on Titan: Season 1 Finale Home Anime of the Year won big with Best Antagonist (Aren), Best VA Performance (Japanese), and Best Opening Sequence.
The winners were chosen by a panel of global anime fans and international judges, and the full list can be found below:

According to a Crunchyroll release, nearly 17 million votes were cast this year. The most engaged countries and territories were Brazil, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States in alphabetical order. India also entered the top 10 countries for the first time with votes from Argentina, Canada, Chile and Germany.

The nominations were announced last month, and the first thing many fans noticed was that Eren Yeager was nominated for Best Antagonist and Best Hero.
