Elton John paid tribute to his loyal fans on stage in Norwich. The singer intends to leave the tour permanently thereafter and wants to thank his audience for their support over the years.
Facing the crowd at Carrow Road Stadium, the “Tiny Dancer” singer said, “Tonight we’re playing the 229th show of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. We have 103 more shows before it ends. It’s a great one.” The adventure was there and it will end in July. I want to thank you because I will never perform here again. I wish you good memories and all the love you gave me, your loyalty, your kindness, letters, costumes, concerts I want to thank you for taking part.”
The ‘Rocket Man’ singer said, “This is very important to me and I will never forget you.”
The concert was the first show on the tour taking place in the UK, and the artist told the public that he would be able to tell his two sons, Zachary and Elijah, how wonderful the experience was.
“I’ll keep you in my heart,” he said. “In my soul. And I can tell my boys when I’m old and inactive. I love you.”
