This Rs 294 cr UK home metaverse comes with its own NFT replica

From fashionable virtual avatars, the metaverse is fast becoming a place where replicas of our real world are populated. One of the more recent additions to the Metaverse is the huge real estate property whose tangible version exists in the UK. According to a recent report in the Times, Hampton Hall, an 11-bedroom home in Oxshot, Surrey, will be the first such NFT (fungible token) on the metaverse.

The property, on a 1.3-acre plot at the gated Crown Estate in Surrey, is worth £29 million (about Rs 295 crore), and comes with NFTs containing a copyright scheme and a virtual version of the house. According to Business Insider, the property is being developed by Stately Homes and will have a total of 70 rooms, including 11 bedrooms. The official website of Stately Homes previews the property with CGI images of Hampton Hall. According to the property developer, Hampton Hall combines modern materials and technology with classic design and traditional craftsmanship. The website mentions, “These are the latest in a new generation of ‘prodigy’ homes, influenced by the stately architecture of a 16th-century English county mansion.”

Describing its architecture, Stately Homes mentions on its website that Hampton Hall would span 29,116 square feet with Cotswold stone, surrounded by Corinthian flavored columns and a 380-foot façade. The rooms of the house will accommodate dinner parties, guests, families, entertainment and will be equipped with a swimming pool, a hammam, a sauna, bowling alleys, a bar, a one-room gym and a treatment room. The property will also include garage space for six cars, including a basement car lift that will come with a car gallery, billiard room and home cinema.

According to Business Insider, Stately Homes works in partnership with a global network of marketing real estate agents called Fine & Country. Fine and Country Agent Sean Barrett told Insider: “If a buyer comes forward for a physical home, we think it is likely that they will own the NFT. »
