From January 24 to February 6, 81 cases of dengue fever were confirmed. The cases are spread across 15 municipalities. In these two weeks, 3 times in the emergency room and 1 hospitalization for dengue were recorded. However, at this stage, the figures are lower as compared to the corresponding period of previous years.
Current weather conditions, an increase in the number of new cases and the identification of the first clusters of cases in the south and west, however, suggest a new epidemic resumption.

As soon as a cluster of cases is identified, surveillance and reinforced actions are implemented by the ARS, Saint-Public France and local authorities.
The actions are as follows:
– vector control operations around cases,
– Providing information and raising awareness among the population and health professionals,
– Organization of sanitation works. The officials recalled the necessary preventive measures to avoid contracting the disease thus limiting its spread:
– To prevent mosquito breeding, remove anything containing water in the house,
– protect yourself from repellent and apply mosquito nets,
