Duchess Meghan, 40, and Prince Harry, 37, reportedly have no plans to travel to the UK for Christmas. They probably celebrate with their two children Archie, 2, and Lilibet Diana, 8 months, in their adopted home with contemplative festivals in close family circles. Of course, there’s still all kinds of work to be done. As the “Daily Mail” reports, the Duchess of Sussex is now taking care of it herself, as she herself strolls through Montecito’s shops in California.

Many affluent residents of the posh coastal community of Montecito have assistants looking for Christmas gifts in local stores, but Duchess Meghan apparently prefers to do so herself. In the photos, which are available exclusively to the “Daily Mail,” you can see Meghan walking into stores in a brown wool coat by Massimo Dutee. She also wears the mandatory face mask and sunglasses.

The newspaper reports that she has visited, among other things, the Pierre Lafond & Co store, which sells everything from groceries to rompers to purses. The 40-year-old got out of the car in which she was being driven and went to the gifts and furnishings department at Pierre Lafond. Close on his heels: a bodyguard. It is said that after a while she again came out with two bags. The bodyguard is said to have kept a folded blanket in a plastic bag. After that, he quickly shopped in the back seat and escorted Meghan back to the car.

Meghan’s shopping spree didn’t end with her visit to a store. Because then it went to children’s clothing boutique Poppy, where she rummaged through both the boys’ and girls’ departments before looking at the sale items — the Duchess was clearly looking for a bargain.

However, she spent only five minutes there before heading to the Hudson Grace furniture store and finally showing up again, bowing her head to check her cell phone. The bodyguard eventually quickly escorted Meghan to a waiting car and back home, as she stopped shopping at the last two stores.
