Lesotho murder: ex-prime minister and wife pay money to criminal gang

Lesotho police commissioner Paseka Mokete in an affidavit, Thabane Lipolelo ordered Thabane, ordering her to become the first lady of her current wife Maesaiah.

Lipolelo Thabane was shot deadly by gunmen near his home in the capital Maseru in June 2017.

Before his death, he was having a divorce call from Thabane.

The documents indicated that the prime minister and his wife allegedly met with the head of a gang and promised them to kill Lipolelo before serving as $ 177,000 and prime minister.

Thabane also shared his ex-wife’s home address with the killers and said they were starting to follow Lipolelo’s move.

According to Moketelo, they tried to kill Lipolelo on June 12, but they failed and reported the incident to the police.

Then two days later, they sent and killed Lipolelo without talking to an anonymous witness, now a state witness.

According to Affidavit, the truce was negotiating between the two women in Ficksburg, a small town in neighboring South Africa.

Thabane got married to his current wife Maesaiah two months after the killing of Lipolelo.

Maesaiah was charged with the murder of Lipolelo and an attempt to kill another woman who was with the former first lady when she was killed.

The former prime minister was not charged by the police despite attempts to try him. His lawyers argued that he had immunity due to his position.

Thabane resigned from his post in May after months of pressure from his party to claim his resignation.

Mokete will be charged with murder because he is no longer in power.

Police arrested Maesaiah again last week, and her previous bail was canceled on technical issues.

The court filed a new bail application and a different judge said the case should be heard.
