Three British Drag Race stars could represent the United Kingdom at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. British media reports that. These are Divina di Campo, Blue Hydrangea and Baga Chips.
The trio participated in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK a few years back and have since formed The Frock Destroyers group. Now the trio is considering moving to Italy, where the Eurovision Song Contest will take place next year. “There have been talks about it. I can’t say anything about it right now, but it’s certainly not impossible that it will happen,” Baga Chipz told the British tabloid Daily Star.
According to Baga Chips, their performance would have scored higher than the zero points that the United Kingdom received in the previous edition. “We’ll never get zero points. We bring camp. Drag Race is a worldwide phenomenon, millions of people watch it.” And according to Baga Chipz, those millions of viewers will vote for him too.
The 2021 contestant, James Newman, scored zero points in the Eurovision Song Contest with his song Embers, but he seemed to do much better in the charts. As reported by British Official Charts, Amber was the third most downloaded song a week after the song’s festivities.
