PlayerdataA DSport company based in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK has raised $ 2.3 million funding.

Hiro Capital – The London / Luxembourg Venture Capital Fund is investing in games, escorts, streaming and digital sports.

The company intends to accelerate development in several sports and use the funds to expand internationally.

Led by CEO Roy Hotrabhavan and CTO Hayden Ball, PlayerData provides training solutions to professional and amateur sports teams through the use of data, AI and wearable technology. AI algorithms predict a player’s injury and its tools allow coaches to replay key moments in the game, modeling different outcomes depending on the player’s position.

In its first live year, the company has already captured more than 10,000 team seasons and has over 50 million athletes playing in grassroots football and rugby in the UK.

PlayerData is Hiro Capital’s 4th DSports and Connected Fitness Investment, with 8 game innovators in the UK, US and Europe, including Zwift, FitXR and NURVV in the portfolio.
