As the introduction of WhatsApp Pay has started giving a tough competition to BDM and BonBay, both companies have advised their employees to uninstall WhatsApp. This has not only caused a setback among fellow tech companies and start-ups, but has also laid the foundation for change.

Similarly, Kunal Shah of Great Start and Vijay Sahgar Sharma of BDM have openly stated that many startup big heads should stop using WhatsApp directly and switch to signal processors.
This is expected to make a huge distinction between Indian startups and corporate entities.

Meanwhile, the number of customer information exchanges on WhatsApp and signal processors has changed drastically. While only 14,000 messages were exchanged between 23–31 December, 18 lakh text messages were exchanged between 1 and 9 January.
It is noteworthy that WhatsApp has come down from 34 lakhs to 30 lakhs.
