Fans of Gary Barlow & Tech may find it difficult to see the man in the flesh in the future as he hints at the end of his Manic World Tour.
The 49-year-old chart-top star has been in the spotlight since the early 1990s, when Take The First burst into the music scene.
But the life of Lockdown has taught the Real My Fire singer that he enjoys spending time with his wife Don and their children more than carrying his suitcase and musical instruments around the world.
In just a new interview, the singer – whose latest solo album, Music Plaid by Humans, topped the album charts this month – has signaled the end of his big tour day.
He told People magazine: “In the past, I used to do 150 flights a year.
“I didn’t bother packing my suitcase sometimes because I would be leaving again in a few days.”
Revealing the lockdown has changed his outlook on life, Gary added: “Later this year, I don’t want to go back to what I used to do. I mean, I really liked being at home. “I really like enough time to be around everyone and enjoy them.”
Becoming a reflection, the singer suggested that he was proud of the catalog he had created for half a century of his life.
He said: “I’ve had a great time looking back, but the other great thing is, I’m about 50 now and being a lyricist and living a life, it’s great.
“Because you can’t write songs. You have to write about something, and have a life. Being able to write songs is just as important as living.
“Because you have no song without life. So, it feels good to be here at the moment.
Gary took to Twitter earlier this month to express his gratitude for bringing this album to number 1 and wrote: “Well guess what we’ve done, we’re selling album number 1 this week!
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone present who has supported me and this record, it makes so much sense to me.”
However, he hinted that he would return to the tour as soon as the Covid regulation was granted, adding: “Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. Now let’s bring this thing to a stage, friends, God bless you, see you soon. Will be. “
